CONCEPT

The design process begins with an open dialogue between you and Ken Fields.  Specific design requirements are identified and established.  During this initial meeting, several different room arrangement solutions for your property will be discussed and illustrated.  The positives and negatives will be pointed out with each concept.  You will leave this meeting secure in the knowledge the design will proceed in the direction you desire.

 

PRELIMINARY

The concept is developed into preliminary design sketches.  Simple geometric shapes become actual rooms with your specific dimensions.  The design is analyzed for flow, views, relationships and economics by Ken and his creative staff.

 

PRESENTATIONS

Hand drawn presentation graphics are used to definitively illustrate your home’s design.  These can include detailed, artistic renderings, and three dimensional models.  The floor plan is now computer generated for precision.  The intricate details of the design are refined at this point.  Upon your approval, we will begin production of the construction drawings.

 

CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS

The construction drawings represent all of the design input provided by you during the previous stages of design development.  Detail is the difference between good design and outstanding design.  Our attention to detail is what puts our firm on the cutting edge.  Our working drawings are:
